Dearest Jon, Haydn and Jill, Grace, and Jack,

We are so sorry to learn of Gina’s passing. I remember spending time with her in Iowa and how much fun it was to get to know her better, especially  her humor, kindness, and spirit. We are with you in prayer and hope for comfort for all of you today and always

I am  deeply sad with you and for you. Gina was a beautiful and gentle soul. I knew the minute I met her on the playground bench swing at Wildwood, when she was expecting Jack, that I had met a godly woman filled with the Holy Spirit. I knew in that moment, I wanted to be friends with her forever. We left that swing  planning a baby shower for Jack, and we were inseparable friends having play days with our children and attending church events for a season of our motherhood. So many fond memories! I wish it could’ve lasted much longer. Your mother was a tremendous blessing and inspiration to me, Gina was a true prayer warrior, who knew how to praise God for His beautiful blessings, yet lament when  things were not always what they should be this side of Heaven-she was truly genuine and authentic. A rare gem. Recently, she was heavy on my heart and mind, and as I reflected on our close friendship, I was looking forward to reconnecting with her in our new chapter of life as empty nesters and grandmothers. To hear of her passing was deeply painful, so I am praying for God’s amazing grace and His peace that passes understanding  to fully comfort your family. Praising God that your separation from Gina will be temporary, and praying this truth brings you comfort, hope, strength, and joy as you grieve.
