Background
Gilbert Roland McCartney unexpectedly passed away from Covid on August 14th 2022. To say that we are shocked is an understatement and unfortunately we are not prepared to pay for any arrangements at this time. Gil was the best husband,father, grandfather and brother a family could ask for and our family is lost without him. I am raising money to cover the cost of his arrangements and to finish the building of his home. His wonderful wife, best friend, and care taker is left with not only unbearable heartbreak but because of his 10 years of battling cancer, their home was never finished. She is now a widow caring for their 6 year old son on her own. Gil is preceded in death by his Parents Boyd McCartney and Dorthy Howard of Kimball. His sister Cathleen Stanley of Premier And a very special niece He leaves behind his loving wife Laura McCartney of Kimball, Son Gilbert McCartney Jr. and his wife Joanna of Kimball. His Daughter Shelia Pulliam and husband Timothy, Son Christopher Clower of Bluefield, Daughter Alexis of Bluefield, And his very special son and best friend Christopher McCartney of Kimball, His only sibling Teresa Powell and husband Jeffery Powell of Princeton. His Grandchildren Laila, Connor, Dustin, Nate, Bradley, Claiton, James, Octavia, and Bexley. Along with many nieces and nephews.
