Gilbert Kyle III, 59, of Coralville, IA, passed away on May 02, 2022 after a  battle with cancer.

Gilbert was born on November 07, 1962 to Gilbert Kyle Jr. and Luella Jackson in Peoria IL. He attended Rock Island High School after finishing high school he landed his first job as a custodian for Rock Island/Milan School district  for 25 years. Gilbert has 9 children, Ratressa Govain, Unica Kyle, Gilbert Kyle IV, Stephanie Holmes, Anthony Kyle, Victor Morrow, Victoria Morrow, Anthony Morrow, Giovonnie Kyle  .


Gilbert was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.  Gilbert was also a passionate about music, food, and football.  .


Anyone who knew Gilbert knew that he was the most loving father, and husband a family could ask for. Gilbert was predeceased by his parents and daughter Ambresha Kyle, and son Jorwarta Kyle. He is survived by sisters Wenona Kyle, Mona Kyle, Crystal Hayes, Kitty, Giduka Newsome, Michelle Cagle, Sheronda Lacey, Angela Branscum, Latoyia Turner, and Denise Holman. Brothers Giovonnte Kyle, Andre Kyle, Damon Kyle, and Lonzo Kyle. Also, grandkids Lamarrion Kyle, Ambresha Kyle, Gilbert Kyle V, Javion Kyle, Amira Fergurson, Nyriah Kyle, Gionna Kyle, Aeriana Holmes, Kaden Kyle, Giovonnie Kyle Jr., Myrikal Hutchcroft, Jada, Kyle, Journey Kyle, Janaeyah Kyle, Jordan Kyle,  Annastine Govain-Pulliam, Teresa Govain-Pulliam, Amiyah Govain, Victor Morrow Jr. Victoria Morrow and 1 great Grandchild Nevaeh Bailey. Also, a host of nieces and nephews aunts and uncles.
