In search of freedom and a brighter future, Gerardo left Cuba and made his way to Miami, Florida, where he dedicated himself to building a new life.

Gerardo was a businessman known for his integrity and passion. He was a charismatic individual whose great heart and infectious positivity left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Always in good spirits, Gerardo had a remarkable ability to bring joy to others, often sharing jokes and providing wise counsel to those who sought his advice.

He was married to Miriam Valdes, with whom he had a daughter, Danay Sanchez. Though their marriage ended in divorce, Gerardo remained a devoted and supportive father. His love for Danay was unwavering, as he consistently offered encouragement and guidance throughout her life.

Gerardo's legacy lives on through his daughter, Danay, and his three cherished grandchildren, Bellina, Remy, and Gillian Cardona. He took great joy in being a grandfather, showering them with love and affection, and creating lasting memories that they will carry with them forever.
