I met Jerry at culinary school, we were in different classes but shared the same kitchen. He was the only one stocking up the fridges and what not while nobody else was giving him a hand, I offered mine, and from there we were great friends. Jerry has taught me quite a lot about cooking from his years of experience before arriving at our culinary school. He also landed me a job when I became homeless, as well as helped me out with rides from St. Cloud to Kissimmee.
The job he helped me land was one where I worked under him. Jerry was fierce and passionate, and militaristic on the clock. Jerry made Gordon Ramsey look like a docile little lamb. When we were off the clock, he became that guy who would take the shirt off his back for you and hold no grudges. He has always been a grand, selfless individual for the entirety of knowing him during our friendship.
Jerry, God bless you, I am happy you are at peace but selfishly I miss you like you wouldn't believe. Thank you for all you have done for me. Love you, man. Rest in peace.
