Gerry's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Geraldine "Gerry" Zammuto on June 25, 2024. Born on July 3, 1949, Gerry was a cherished wife, devoted mother, loving sister, and doting grandmother. Her warm, generous nature and sharp wit brought joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew her. Her caring personality and dedication to her family made her the matriarch of her family, a role she fulfilled with love and grace.
Gerry is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Walter Zammuto, her beloved daughters Kerrilee Helliwell, Samantha Zammuto, and Alicia Zammuto, her caring brother Paul Leman, and her sister Beverly Sullivan. She was also the proud grandmother to Nicole Zammuto, Grady Helliwell, Presley Zammuto, and Gianni Zammuto. She is preceded in death by her mother Mildred Leman, father Paul Leman, Sr., and her twin brother Jeremiah "Jerry" Leman. Despite their absence, Gerry carried their memories in her heart and strived to honor their legacy through her own actions.
Gerry’s legacy of love and family will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her impact was deeply felt within her immediate family, but her influence extended well beyond those she was related to. Her kindness touched the lives of many members of the community, who will remember her fondly.
A memorial service to celebrate Gerry's life will be held on July 15, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Keefe Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, consider performing an act of kindness in Gerry's memory. It is what she would have wished for most.
As we remember Gerry, let us hold on to the love and warmth she embodied and strive to reflect it in our own lives. She was a beacon of hope, comfort, and compassion to all who knew her, and her light will continue to shine in our hearts. Her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched throughout her journey with us.
