Geri pursued her passion for sacred music at Kansas City Bible College, where she deepened her spiritual foundation and found her late husband, Clinton Norton. Her faith remained a guiding force throughout her life, and she was an active member of Colonial Presbyterian Church in Kansas City, Missouri. She found great joy in Bible study and participating in church events.
Family was at the heart of Geri’s life. She is survived by her sister, Diane Ibbetson; her children, Allen Norton, Lisa Ryan, and Dana Solomonson; as well as 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren—with one more on the way—who brought immense joy to her life. Whether sharing stories over a warm meal or baking treats for loved ones, Geri found happiness in creating cherished moments with family.
Beyond the kitchen, Geri had a passion for bird watching and reading. She found peace in observing nature’s beauty and could often be found with a book in hand. Her love for animals extended beyond admiration—she had a special place in her heart for rescue dogs who became loyal companions throughout her life.
