My condolences to Joanne, Mike, and Gerald'sgrandchildren and other family. I first met Gerald when I was a little girl (approx 6 yrs old) after my mom had been baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. My memories of Gerald are many. He was so very kind and soft spoken and took time to talk to the kids in our congregation. I remember his bright smile and calm character.

Even though I was young, I remember about his talks because my mom would always talk about them asking me if I remember a certain thing he said. Often they were about bringing up children in the truth. Then mom and I would go tell my dad about the talk. One time, Gerald told my mom about a talk he was going to give that was going to be extra helpful for unbelieving mates and to invite my dad. Most of the brothers knew my dad and were so kind to encourage him. My dad ended up not going but my mom recorded it for him.

My family has wonderful memories of Gerald. My mom will still bring up points from his talks from long ago! They were that memorable and helpful!

We can't wait to see Gerald and Jane again on a paradise earth! My dad too. Maybe he can tell my dad directly about that talk he missed in the 70s. 🥰

Love from the Deaton girls, Andrea and Anita.

All the tears,

Jah knows them Goodbyes are always so sad... sometimes all you can do is pray pray to remember the hope that is in place as said in the talk earlier today. And turning to Jehovah for his outstanding comfort to us individually, also as a whole spiritual family that brings us together is the best!

Sorry for being shy on zoom though

I definitely remember going to meetings at Sherrel wood and being able to sit in a  close row of your parents( Gerry & Jane),

can I tell you a kindness that came to me from your dad too!

Because in it no doubt felt a reflection of Jah's love and care...

brother and sister the Dapontes they were the first Jah's witnesses I met & some how Wheeler family knew them also and attended Fernados memorial at the Ralston Creek congregation. When I had dropped my glasses from my seat into the isle trying to get myself together from my crying,  guess who was there... to hand them back to me... yup brother Wheeler was walking by, nice timing awesome right. A kind friend he was.

Just something small but at the same time meant a lot.

To the Wheeler and all of Gerry& Jane's family continue taking care with Jehovahs help.

Love your sisters Justine & Wendy Lucero

JoAnne & Mike you both know what your parents mean to me, the world, is putting it mildly. I have few memories without them being a major part. I love you all and I'm here when needed.

Jerry was a very kind and caring friend. It will be wonderful to reunite with him in the future and share are love for him.  Until then we will miss him.  Please accept our condolences from the Reid family.

What Jerry taught us.

(Self-Sacrificing) We could not afford a mechanic, we got a book on electronic ignitions but could not understand it. We drug our car to Jerry’s garage, he read the book diagnosed the car and we got it fixed. (It was late when we got done, he had to work the next day)

(Compassionate) I was laid off again, (every year), he got a book on how to do shake roofs, he gave me the book, he paid me the going rate for roofers, and trusted me to do it!

(Shepherd) Our son was to be baptized at the district convention, when we went down stairs to wake him he had ran away from home, after the days program , Jerry and Lee, came to shepherd our family. (Although Jerry was busy at the Convention he was not too busy for us.)

It has been a privilege to know and serve with Jerry over the years. As a young men we all looked up to him and appreciated his counsel and direction. I greatly look forward to serving as yokefellow with him and Jane again soon in the new world. I’m reminded of Jehovah’s promise to Jacob at Genesis 28: 15 “I am with you, and I will safeguard you wherever you go, and I will return you to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Jehovah will show his loving care for Jerry and Jane by fulfilling his promise when he resurrects them and returns them to this land. Dawn and I want to express our love and condolences to the entire Wheeler clan. It’s been our privilege to know and serve our God Jehovah with you!
Your dad was one of the brothers in our hall who was always encouraging me when I was growing up in the truth. I remember one time the brothers needed a particular chemical for the Kingdom Hall. Jerry mentioned it to me and when I got to work my boss said take what you need. I gave it to Jerry at the next meeting. Fast forward about 30 years and I saw Jerry at an assembly. The first words out of his mouth was him remembering me giving the brothers the chemical for the Kingdom Hall. What a memory he had. I can’t wait to see Jerry and Jane again in Paradise. Agape, Tom Keefe
Denise and I send our love to the whole family.  Jerry and Mary Jane were both such good examples of faith and endurance.   They are remembered fondly.  We look forward to seeing them very soon.
In loving memory of Jerry and Mary Jane, and our sincere condolences to Joanne, Mike, and all of the loved ones.  Suann Wheeler Brehm and Francis Josef Brehm
