Dear Hicks/Vaughn family,
My cousin Curtis just informed me of his nephew Gerald's passing. I live in Colorado, so I'm kinda out of the loop with Hicks news. As I read this obituary, it brought back a memory of Thanksgiving 1972 in Guymon OK at my Aunt Mabel's house (your mom and grandma). Gerald and Steven were running around enjoying being at grandma's, and my son, age 3, was enjoying watching them run around! Later we had a chance to get reacquainted at Aunt Mabel's funeral, all grown up! God bless you all as you move through this time of loss. I'm thanking God for the hope we have in Jesus of being reunited for not just a holiday, but for eternity.

Gerald was always a guy you worked with and knew at some point you were all going to be laughing. He loved his job and loved people. He could be quiet but when he wasn't, it made the day more than enjoyable. I wish I had been able to keep up with him but will just miss the fact we won't be working together any more. A true human life and one of a kind that will be missed by many.
