Jerry's obituary

Gerald(Jerry) Tassart, 80, of Spring Hill, FL, passed into the arms of his Savior on October 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Jerry was born on July 25, 1941 to Gaston and Millie Tassart in Pekin, IL. He married Bonnie Reeise on April 11, 1963. They went on to have five children, Jerry(Tammy)Tassart II, Jamie Tassart, Charity Tassart, Leah(Brian) Shemansky, and Adam(Maria)Tassart.

Jerry worked for SC II for many years before retiring in 2003. Jerry was a true outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and sharing his passions with all his family and friends. He was also an avid hockey fan who loved watching his son play for many years, and he never missed watching his beloved Blackhawks play. Jerry was always an active and loved  member of his church.  His greatest desire would be for all his loved ones to know the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother,  and his only sister, Linda Potts. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his five children, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, and two brothers, Don and Rex.

There will be a celebration of life held at Pekin Lighthouse Church at 1010 El Camino Dr., on November 19, 2021 . Visitation will start at 5, with a service to follow by Pastor Randy Hall.
