Gerald's obituary

Gerald “Jerry” Puckett, 87 passed away peacefully on December 31, 2020 at Cameron Regional Medical Center in Cameron, Missouri. Jerry is a beloved Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Veteran and Friend. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War as a Tank Mechanic. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupation Medal (Japan), a Korean Service Medal and a Bronze Star. He owned Jerry’s Seamless Gutters and was a truck driver for Swift and The Kansas City Star. Jerry enjoyed being ornery, but all in good fun. He loved to listen to music and enjoyed watching John Wayne Movies. Of utmost attention was that to his family. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Puckett, daughter, Brenda Duffy and his son, Gerald “Butch” Puckett. He is loved and remembered by his daughter, Carrie Puckett, sons; Kenneth Puckett and Charles Puckett, Twenty (20) Grandchildren and Thirty (30) Great-Grandchildren along with a host of other family and close friends. This beloved family is a true testament to Jerry and his life will live on through each of them. Jerry was a member of the American Legion, a graduate of the Citizens’ Police Academy and a past Deacon of the Maywood Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life will be held at Noon, Saturday, January 9. 2021 at Northland Christian Church; 6120 NE 48th Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64119 with Pastor Christian Williams officiating. Military Honors following by the U.S. Army and the Gladstone VFW.
