1941-2025
Gerald Keith Robinson, 83, passed away on January 21, 2025, in Prince George, British Columbia.
Born on April 13, 1941, in Edmonton, Alberta, Gerald dedicated his life to hard work and providing for those he loved. At just 15 years old, he began working in the sawmills around Prince George, where he built a long and respected career. He took great pride in work loading flat cars and was deeply committed to safety, earning numerous awards throughout his years of service. After decades of dedication, he retired from Northwood Upper Fraser at the age of 63.
Beyond his work, Gerald had a deep love for horses and was a farmer at heart. His passion for the land and animals reflected his hardworking nature and appreciation for simple joys. He was known for his infectious laugh, kindness, generosity, and lighthearted spirit-qualities that endeared him to all who knew him. A devoted husband, father, and grandpa, Gerald would do anything for his family at the drop of a hat. His kindness and unwavering support left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have him in their lives.
Gerald is survived by his beloved wife, Wendy; his children Kari, Kelly, Kimi, and Korry (Mitchell) Brandes; grandson Cameron; sister Doreen Lupul; brother Melvin Robinson; brother-in-laws James (Sandi) Reed, Terrence (Barb) Nerling, and Barry Nerling; stepchildren Wayne (Sheila) Schell, Linda Lee Schell, Jan (Trisha) Schell, Jay (Wendy) Schell, and Judy (Rob) Henry; step grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; and many other dear relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Freda (Schell); his parents Edward and Georgina (Turner) Robinson; siblings Gladys, Edward, Dorothy, Cecilia, Theodore, Donald, Roger, Darline, Brenda, Glenda, David, Lloyd, and Anna; and many other departed but remembered family members and friends.
A celebration of Gerald's life will be held on April 12, 2025, at the Sandman Signature Prince George Hotel (2990 Recplace Drive) from 11:00AM to 3:00PM. Lunch will be served from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the PG Hospice House or Canadian Alzheimer Society in Gerald's memory.
Gerald's laughter and generosity will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
