Gerald (Jerry)'s obituary

Gerald (Jerry) Holbrook, 56, of Greenfield, Indiana, passed on January 23, 2022. Gerald (Jerry) was born on September 19, 1965. Jerry's passion was music. He was self taught on the guitar and saxophone, and was learning to play his daughters ukulele. He loved to sing and perform on stage. He loved sports. He played sports along with being a sports coach for many different teams sports, and even got to coach his son in baseball and football. He loved to watch professional and college sports and never missed the Superbowl. His work was construction and building houses, and he had a dream of running his own construction business one day. He loved buying new tools and showing them off. Prior to his passing, he was trying to learn how to draw. He was very family oriented, and did everything he could to provide for his family. Jerry was a very kind, giving man. He would have given the shirt off his back to anyone that needed it, even if it was all he had. He always looked at the bright side of things, and taught his children to be kind to everyone. Jerry is survived by his wife, Diana Holbrook of Greenfield, his son, Dylan Holbrook of Indianapolis, his daughter, Madelyn Holbrook of Greenfield, his mother, Molly Holbrook of Tucson, his adopted father, John Furlong of Phoenix, his brothers, Raymond, Randy, and Roger Holbrook of Tucson, and Larry Furlong of Phoenix, his sister, Pam Furlong of Phoenix, his grandson, Lincoln Holbrook of Indianapolis, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Von Holbrook, his little brother, Craig Holbrook, his adopted mother, Mary Furlong, and his mother-in-law, Susie Lake. Jerry would have wanted all of his family and friends to know how much they meant to him, and how much he loved them. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and shared with the family at that time. May Gerald rest in peace and harmony as he reunited with his loved ones in heaven.
