My condolences to Jerry's entire family. I first met Jerry in 1963 when we were freshman students at Lane Tech high school where we would occasionally end up in the assistant principals office, Mr. Mazurakas, for reprimands and lessons about school rules. We bestowed the honorary title of "bouncer" upon Mr. Mazorakas eventually. Jerry left Lane to continue on with high school in McHenry for his Junior and senior year. I lost track of how many times I drove to McHenry to visit Jerry. My trips to McHenry and good times spent there with him and his entire family was the highlight of existence during my junior and senior years (1965 & 1966). It is difficult for me to accept the loss of someone who I had known for 60 years and considered my best friend.

Dear Glass family, I am sorry for your loss. I  worked with Jerry at Cimarron-Memorial in the Mathematics department. He was one of the kindest people I knew!  He would help anyone and he was fun to work with. He was missed when he left.  I feel blessed to have known him!!
