On Thursday, May 29th, 2025, Gerald "Gerry" Reed Gates, loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away at Modoc Medical Center from a brief battle with cancer at the age of 74.
Gerry was born on December 18th, 1950 in Van Nuys, California to Gerald Amos Gates and Jane Margaret Gates, three years after his sister Jeanne Gates. The family made their home in the San Fernando Valley, where Gerry was active in the chess club …
