Gerald Lee Eda, aged 71, passed away on June 25, 2024, in Sugar Land, Texas. Born in Richmond, Texas he was a longtime resident of Needville, Texas, Gerald had a fulfilling career at the W. A. Parish Generating Station working with NRG Energy, Reliant Energy, and Houston Lighting and Power.

Gerald was a loving father who will be remembered as a kind, caring, and gentle soul.

He leaves behind a loving family: sons Jonathan, Jeremy, Jeffrey Eda and daughter-in-law Amanda Battel; sisters Denise Vaclavik and Dana Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gerald was preceded in death by his beloved wife Sara Eda, his parents Arnold and Doris Eda, and his sister Carlene Escher.

A private family gathering will be held in remembrance of Gerald. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Texas Children's Hospital, honoring Gerald's compassionate spirit.
