Gerald D “Bud”Coberly

Born-March 17, 1963

Death-May 24, 2025.

Bud passed sway in Santa Maria, CA. He succeeded his father, Eddie W Coberly’s death in 2010. Bud was a fun and lovable guy. He joined the Navy after high school. He was a pro at playing his Banjo, especially with the “Old Timers Club” in Bakersfield, CA. His hobbies were motorcycles and working on old cars. He was very gifted in iron sculptures. Always creating something. The beach in Arroyo Grande was his haven place where always enjoyed Surfing. Bud had a painful life at times and certainly deserved much more! In his later and final years of life, Jean from Santa Maria ,CA came into his life and cared deeply for him and kindly watched over him in his final days.

As his step-mother it was a privilege to raise Bud through his younger years. God saw a place in our lives for him and his brother Robert to live with us as they grew up. He survived by his son Cuin, sister Tami, brother Robert and sisters Lisa and Pamela along with many aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that loved him. Our Bud will surely be missed! His wishes were to spread his ashes in the ocean where he lived most of his life. He was 62 years old.
