My thoughts and prayers are with y'all, his family.
We are so sorry for your loss and praying for the peace and comfort of the Lord to blanket each of you. Gerald was such a kind, happy, positive and encouraging person who truly loved and served the Lord and people.  He really did have a larger than life presence and we will  miss him.  Bruce and Frankie Crabtree
Working for Gerald during law school was an honor. He imparted both legal knowledge and life lessons that continue to guide me to this day. His presence will be greatly missed.

Linda and family, we are sorry for the passing of Gerald way too soon. Our prayers to all.
Rest in peace Gerald. Your brothers and sisters in Christ love you and miss you. Until we meet again. May peace that only Christ can give be with Linda and family
Love your family. Your husband was lionhearted and so are y’all!

Linda, you and your family have all demonstrated such faith and strength during such a heartbreaking time! We love you so much! We know that God has welcomed Gerald into his loving arms with the greeting ‘well done my good and faithful servant’!  Even so, we cannot imagine your pain and loss! Please know that we love you and we will pray for you. And we are also here for anything you need.

We pray that God will give you peace. You have done everything you possibly could to give Gerald unconditional love and dignity during his suffering up to his death. You have been a wonderful witness to the Blessed Trinity during this most agonizing time. We thank God for the privilege of knowing and loving Gerald, you, and your whole family.

We are so sorry for your loss! Gerald was a great man!

We are so sorry, Linda. Our hearts and prayers are with you all.

The first time my husband and I met Gerald Crochet, he made us feel as if we had known him our entire lives. I suppose he was that way with everyone in his path.

His love of God, the Faith, the Blessed Mother and the Saints was always evident in his conversation.

His beaming smile could brighten anyone's soul in a way that you walked away from the conversation with a lighter mood, no matter what you had been going through prior to the chat with Gerald.

He was a person not easy to forget and to date I have never met anyone like him. The closest I have seen is in his family. They all have a way about them that makes the person on the receiving end feel cared for and loved. His dear family carries that same joy of the Catholic Faith.

Rest in peace, Gerald. You will be missed.

To Linda and your children, know that I’m continuing to hold you close in my heart and prayers.  It was an honor to know Gerald these past 20+ years as church family and more recently through his professional help.  Gerald was an inspiration- his smile, optimism, faith, piety, integrity, and above all, his deep love and devotion for you his family and for God and our Catholic Faith, are gifts that will remain with all of us who knew him. I offer you all my love and deepest sympathies. May God‘s perpetual light shine upon Gerald and may God‘s peace be with all of you.
My favorite memory of my "Uncle Opy" is him teaching me how to ride a horse.... he was the horse and six year old me was on his shoulders using his ears as reigns. He was always generous and loving. I love him so much.

For many years we have been fortunate to call the Crochet family our great friends. So many memories but the one we hold dearest is that smile on Gerald’s face every time we met. No matter how much was going on, no matter where it was you could always look forward to the big smile and big hug that you knew he truly was happy to see you. We know that his faith has been with him through his life and will guide and protect his family.
So sorry Linda. May the Lord be with you and your family especially during this time. Praying for peace and comfort 🙏❤️ love Sheila
