Georgianna's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Georgianna Lund, a remarkable woman known for her vibrant spirit, diverse interests, and warm personality. Georgianna was born on February 9, 1944, and moved on to her everlasting journey on July 9, 2025.
Georgianna was a woman of many passions. She was an ardent food enthusiast, her favorites being old-fashioned doughnuts, beans with hamhock, Indian food, and wontons. She was also partial to a Mango-a-Go-Go from Jamba Juice. She loved reading, with Wheel of Time, various biographies, and Evanovich being among her favorite authors. Her music selections were diverse, ranging from classical compositions like Pachelbel Canon and DeBussey's Clair de Lune to Hall and Oats and Boy George. Her favorite ways of spending time included watching British crime shows, movies featuring Ryan Reynolds, classical music performances, and theatre plays.
Georgianna had a deep appreciation for various forms of art, specifically Native American and Japanese prints. She was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, and loved a good game of Trivial Pursuit. When she wasn't engaged in these activities, she could be found talking on the phone, crocheting, cooking soups, running, walking, or simply enjoying her favorite local spots like the Guthrie Theatre and Stillwater, MN.
Being an outgoing, funny, fun-loving, chatty, brilliant, and spiritual individual, Georgianna easily won the hearts of those she met. Her love for animals and support for NPR showcased her compassionate side. She was especially proud of her accomplishments as an MBA, CPA, and a successful personal investor. Through these achievements and her undying love for people, Georgianna leaves behind an enduring legacy of acceptance and love.
She is survived by her daughters, Andrea Sparrow and Kathryn LeVitre; her sister, Sandra Kvalheim; her brother, Andrew Mantifel; and her beloved grandchildren, Isabella and Guinevere LeVitre, Aedan LeVitre, and Larken Weatherley-White. Her loved ones will remember her as a beacon of open-mindedness and spirituality, that shone remarkably bright throughout her life. Georgianna's vibrant personality will continue to live in the hearts of those who had the pleasure to know her.
