I just came across this today July 30, 2021
Georgia moved from Gig Harbor years ago, and when she left my heart was torn. We had a great friendship and spent many years in Bible studies together.
I had no idea she was unwell. I do know she’s with her savior smilingly ever so brightly as she did down here on earth.

Met Georgia at the YMCA in Tacoma, playing water volleyball. We all had so much fun. What a wonderful person. Even though she had moved from here we talked and chatted every once on a while or were able to visit when she visited here. She will be missed by many here as well as anywhere she lived, or anyone she touched. My deepest condolences to the whole family.

Grandma and me on an adventure @ a bike rally!! Grandma Georgia was always up for an adventure and, more often than not, it was always me trying to keep up with her. After a weekend in Nevada with Grandma, I remember driving back to college in Arizona thinking, "MAN, I just can't keep up with Grandma. How's it that I'm always the one who ends up needing a nap after a weekend with Grandma?!"

I met Georgia through our mutual friend Olynnda in Boulder City and through Bethany Baptist Church. As a baby Christian, I was thrilled to have Georgia for a friend as she modeled for me the character of a godly woman. We would enjoy our walks around Boulder City as we pondered our faith. It was a wonderful way to get to know my new friend and I was encouraged by her joy, laughter, quick wit, and her love for the Lord. She sparkled with joy when she shared her love for her family and the fun she had with her grandkids who were so very dear to her. I missed our walks when my husband and i moved to Henderson, but was thrilled when Georgia moved there as well and for a short time we were able to continue those walks before Cliff and I moved to Montana.
I dearly miss my friend and will always cherish our friendship.
Georgia and I reconnected at a class reunion about 10 years ago after we both moved back to Nevada. We instantly hit it off and became good friends. We loved going to the movies, playing cards with her brother Will and Mimi, taking our dogs all over the area for walks, eating out, shopping, events on the Strip, Costco runs and eating hot dogs after. We visited the Bellagio Conservatorium every new season then sat in the piano bar. Georgia would always ask Vincent to play "Georgia on my mind". Georgia knew how to enjoy life and make the most of her time with friends and family. We had such fun together. I love you Georgia and will miss you, my friend.

I'll always remember Georgia by her joy for life and laughter. It was always fun to hang out with her and I always learned something important when I was with her. She will be missed.
Georgia seemed like the smartest kid I had known in elementary school. I remember her having skipped fourth or fifth grade into our class. Then, in sixth grade, she gave me the most luxurious (given the time) and hands-down most memorable birthday gift of my life: 100 postage stamps. She was aware and sensitive enough to realize that my favorite hobby was writing chambers of commerce all over the country that I wanted to visit their city or area. Having the resources to get travel brochures from 100 more cities was like a dream for me.

At school we had fun playing “jacks” and hopscotch and I always felt lucky to have a friend whose parents owned a motel. Much later I attended a party at her expansive and dramatic house overlooking Lake Mead with what seemed to be a 10-car garage.

After that we had many long and interesting talks at her shop on Nevada Highway and I got to visit her and her fascinating and very energetic family in Gig Harbor, Washington and felt the desire to stay there forever.

Georgia was not just just smart, but was fun, very witty and insightful—one of my best friends ever. Still can’t believe I won’t see her again. Ed Uehling

Georgia and I were friends from junior high when I moved to Boulder City. We have kept in touch through the years and there
were many parallels in our lives which made our friendship very close. Georgia was my go to friend. I will never forget when living in Cheyenne, Wyoming that one Christmas I was alone, absolutely alone. After being unsuccessful, I tried one last time to get a flight to Vegas and secured the last seat on a red eye flight arriving at 2:00 Christmas morning. I needed a ride to Boulder City and guess who I called and was waiting for me when my plane arrived? My friend Georgia. I have told this story many times and the response has been "Now that's a friend"--yes, Georgia was my friend in the deepest meaning of the word and I will miss her dearly.

When Georgia received me at age 12 into her corporate office at Desert Sands I had never felt so special, until she made me remove my shoes to protect the most exquisite white carpet in the biggest and most luxurious home I’d ever seen overlooking Lake Mead. It wasn’t until later I discovered what a rich and powerful woman she was. I miss her infectious laugh, the humor and resilience she showed in the face of adversity, the joy and safety she brought to my father, the way she talked about Luke, one of the loveliest people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet, and the way she always made me feel special in her presence. Her life wasn’t without grave pain or challenge, but the difficulty she faced made her humble, wise, resilient and strong. She was an amazing woman and I will miss our dear Georgia very, very much.

Georgia who was a very close friend since the 90’s and before, surprised me by celebrating my 80th birthday with a trip to the new and exciting High Roller on the Linc. It was a day of laughter, happy times and wonderful Margueritas and appetizers after the ride. Georgia invited another mutual friend, Glenna Ramsay I remember our cocktails cost more than the ride!!! And I had treated the ladies to the drinks! Georgia had a big chuckle over that!! We enjoyed so many adventures in Nevada and Washington with Georgia always laughing and ready for the next fun time. We cared for each other’s pups and worked out a successful routine as each of us traveled regularly. She is a huge loss in my life and I cherish the friendship Georgia and I enjoyed these many years.

We were only 8 years apart and I loved hanging out with her when I was little. I’m sure as we got older I drove her nuts. The one story I will always remember was how she would charge her friends .10 to come see me when I was a baby. She was the only one in her school who was an aunt at 8 years old. My family moved to Albuquerque when I was 6 months old, so she would come most summers and stay with us. She told me once she made me walk to town barefooted. I don’t remember that, but she told me many times about that. I will miss Georgia so much. She was like my big sister. We didn’t see each other too often, but when we did we would just start talking like it was yesterday. I’m so sorry we can’t be there, but you will be in our thoughts. Love and hugs to all.
