Please consider a contribution to Supporting Family Caregivers.

Background

Caring for a loved one is one of the most selfless and rewarding acts a person can undertake. However, for many families, the financial burden of caregiving can be overwhelming. Insurance often does not cover the costs of in-home caregivers, leaving families to bear the expenses out of pocket.

On average, families pay between $25 to $35 per hour for a professional caregiver, which amounts to approximately $200 to $280 per day for an 8-hour shift. For families needing round-the-clock care, costs can exceed $1,400 to $2,000 per week, creating a significant financial strain. Many caregivers are family members who must reduce their work hours or leave their jobs entirely to provide care, compounding the financial impact.

In honor of Georgia Allen, we are establishing the Georgia Allen Family Caregivers Fund to support families who face these financial challenges. Our mission is to provide financial assistance to family caregivers who are struggling to cover the costs of essential caregiving services. Whether it’s help with in-home care, respite care, or necessary resources, this fund aims to ensure that families can focus on what matters most—providing love and support to their loved ones without the added stress of financial hardship.

By contributing to the Georgia Allen Family Caregivers Fund, you are honoring the legacy of Georgia Allen and making a meaningful difference in the lives of caregivers who give so much of themselves every day.

How You Can Help:

Donate: Every contribution, big or small, helps a caregiver in need. We will work with agencies to determine the families in need.

Spread the Word: Share our mission with others who understand the challenges of caregiving.

Partner with Us: If you are an organization or business that supports caregivers, we’d love to collaborate.

Together, we can provide relief, dignity, and support to those who devote their lives to caring for others. Thank you for helping us carry forward Georgia Allen’s spirit of compassion, love, and generosity.
