George's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Yvanez, a loving father, dedicated husband, and a charismatic presence in any company. He was born on June 18, 1975, and, unfortunately, left us all too soon on his 38th birthday on June 18, 2013.
George is survived by his beloved wife, Vanessa Evans, and their children, George jr Yvanez, Ruben Yvanez, Angel Yvanez, George M Yvanez, Ceceilia Yvanez, and Daniel Yvanez. He was predeceased by his father, Ruben Yvanez.
In 1990, George moved to Eugene, Oregon, where Blue River became one of his favorite local spots for camping. A man with a strong sense of identity, George embraced his favorite color, blue, and had specific tastes in food and music. He enjoyed seafood, Carne Asada Tacos, and traditional Mexican food, Budweiser beer, and the music of Tupac, Easy E, among others.
George was an avid viewer of WWE and GANGLAND and enjoyed films such as Scarface, American Me, Casino, and The Godfather. His sporting loyalties lay with the Raiders NFL and Lakers NBL, and his favorite game to play was Poker.
Whether at work or at the local gym, George exercised regularly and enjoyed spending his leisure time chilling with his family anywhere while sipping a beer. His preferred vacation spot was Los Angeles.
George was confident, funny, sarcastic, handsome, and outgoing. Above all, he was a great father. He instilled in his children the importance of respect and solidarity as a family, and the courage to stand up for themselves and for what is right. He worked tirelessly for 20 years, and his ownership of his home was a testament to his hard work and dedication.
George's legacy is one of resilience and love. He was a great man, father, and husband, and we mourn his loss immensely. It is indeed true that we lost a good one too early. His life lessons and the love he radiated will continue to inspire us and live on in our hearts forever.
