Background
Lecky was driving the much loved dog of a family friend back to its home during the collision that took his life. The dog was found unharmed on the side of the interstate by a good samaritan who called the Humane Society. The Humane Society safely returned the dog to its owners the next day. That same dog was also adopted from the Humane Society.
