George's obituary
George A. Thurlow Jr. passed away at 69 in his home. George grew up in Poland, Maine, and was the oldest of 9 brothers and sisters. He attended Poland schools and enjoyed reading as a child. In his younger years, he found a love for Harley Davidson that he would continue throughout his life; he had many friends and brought life to any gathering.
George had been residing in Darlington, South Carolina, with his companion Connie Stock, whom he loved dearly. While in Darlington, George spent his days working around the house, enjoying NASCAR horseracing, and built a beautiful life with Connie. He loved animals and had many cats in his home and the neighborhood he cared for. In his later years, he found a love for golf that he was thrilled to share with his only grandson, Kaydo Thurlow. George had one daughter, Heather Thurlow. They shared a special bond; he loved her and her son immensely. George was proud of his Maine roots and talked of his family often; a piece of his heart was always home. George was greatly loved, and he will be deeply missed.
George is survived by his daughter, Heather Thurlow, grandson Kaydo Thurlow; his brother Rocky Thurlow, sister Judy Mattern, sister Debbie Thurlow, sister Donna Greenlaw and her husband, John Greenlaw; Patricia Eldridge and her husband, Arnold Eldridge, sister Catherine Thurlow, sister Linda Thurlow, sister Darlene Thurlow. His loving parents, George A . Thurlow Sr. and Effie M. Thurlow, predecease him.
