George Strauss, born in Massachusetts on September 6, 1965 where he was raised by his mother, Myrna Strauss. George passed away on March 24, 2020, in Charlottesville, Virginia. 

George was a loving and devoted father with his greatest joy in life being his daughter, Samantha Strauss and his son, Scott Strauss, of Centreville, Virginia. He also leaves behind his brother, Michael Bianchini of Wakefield, Massachusetts. 

George served his country in the Army with the 82nd Airborne. He then went on to be a nurse in Syracuse, New York, where he started his own family with Laura Strauss. They eventually relocated to Virginia to raise their children. George's heart was in helping those he loved and celebrating the success of his children. 

George had a contagious sense of humor and never left his big personality behind. He was an avid hockey fan who passed the love of the sport to his son, Scott. He was also a talented illustrator, frequenly designing his own creative tattoo ideas before finding an artist to bring them to life. He was an accomplished traveller, movie and history buff, and decorated weight-lifting competitor. In his own words, he described himself as "Charmingly irascible, irresistibly snarky, dyed in the wool Masshole."

George's spirit lives on in his children, lifelong friends, and family. He will be deeply missed.
