George's obituary

George E. Stewart, age 88, resident of Hickory Hills, formerly of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2021. He was the devoted husband of 65 years to Genevieve "Gen"(nee Fry); beloved son of the late Frank and Bessie Stewart of West Virginia; caring father and friend of George C. "Rusty", Scott (Laurel), Dave (Annette) Stewart and Tammy (Chris) Dragel, fun loving Pappa of Jade(Pietro) Pellerito, Scotty, Luke, David and Matthew Stewart, Kori (Eddie) Vasquez and Chris Dragel; loving Great- Grandpa to Alison Lear; dearest brother of Charles Stewart, the late Garrett James, John, Donald, and Ronald Stewart, Bernice Weis, Vinia Legg and Betty Kincaid ( Mark) ; Dear brother-in-law of Tom (Joanne) Fry, the late Jeannette (Lee) Dunn, and Chuck (Lucille) Fry; Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews, best friend and fishing partner of Joe Krzystof. George's love of fishing and outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He was a member and past treasurer of the Hickory Hills Sertoma Club and member of St. Patricia Circle of Friends. He will be missed by his family and friends as he enters the Kingdom of God to fish the great lakes of Heaven alongside the greatest fisherman of all. A celebration of George's life will take place on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 11:30am, 15050 Wolf Rd, Orland Park IL., 60467
