George Richard Shears, age 77, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away peacefully at the Sarah Moore home on February 11, 2026. Born to George Warren and Flora Mae (Ferguson) Shears in Hopewell Township, Pennsylvania. Graduating from Hopewell High School in 1967, George attended Penn State University. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou (Shears) Monahan; brother-in-law, Mark Beers; and son-in-law, Alex Smith.
