Even though Rick and I only knew him for such a short time his character was such that he will have a long lasting memory for us. He was straight forward, funny and very intelligent. You could tell how much he loved his wife, his family and he had strong positions about things that mattered to him. Condolences and continued prayers for his lovely wife and family!  Life life to the fullest just like he seem to do as I am sure that is appears he would want you to do so! 

Besides my dad there were two people in the world I would call in my most desperate times, George and Rob Stewart.  George was always there and always giving me good advice that I generally followed.   On my adventures with  Rob Steward and Sean Allen it was George we called when we got in over our heads in Iraq.  What he said was as funny as it was useful.   He was there and kept me going when I was at my lowest place professionally, when I was going to quit and change professions, he told me not to be such a wimp, but he didn't say wimp.   It was then that I looked around and made some of the best professional decisions in my life.  He was right I needed to toughen up and fight back, I did and I lost, but it hardened me and I'm better today.  It was a phone call from George that changed everything.  I could go on like this for ever, he was one of the last good men.  I don't have to tell you what a man he was, anyone writing anything on this page knows that.  I rode with him to the funeral of our friend Rob Stewart.   He had many friends and associates about whom he would talk about to me.  My life is richer having known him, I can't begin to recall every meeting or phone call I had where I would come away from it laughing about what George told me or when I would be driving down the road thinking about something and something George said would pop into my head.  It's a blessing that those words of wisdom will always be with me and I will pass them on to my son, who is 9, and on so many occasions I have thought that I will be proud if he turns out  as good as the kids George raised.  He would tell me about his kids and about how he was going to retire and spend time with them, and they were the reason he didn't get involved in some of the stuff I did and Rob did back in the day.   As I grow towards old age and I Am in my 50s now, its George I think about having the kind of kids I want my kid to be like.  Back in the old days I didn't understand what George was talking about and I started my family late, but when I look at my son, I get it, and its George more than anyone else that I thank for that too.  It's Monday morning March 21, 2022, I just found out and these are my first impressions.  Sheila my long time secretary just walked in, I need to tell her.  She thought George was hilarious and was excited when she came back to work for me last year, to hear he might come by sometime, like in the old days when his office was across the hall from us.  I thought about George just yesterday while I was planting my garden and running my first weld bead, with my knew Arc Welder, I was going to call him this morning and his number was not in service.  That is when I looked on line.  

If I had a mount Rushmore for myself George would be there right next to my dad, Rob Stewart, and Harry Deford (an attorney), my dad is the only one left.  I just hope he knew how much he meant to me.

My deepest condolences nuria my sister also passed Oct 7th this year of Covid I know I know prayers your way 

George helped me buy my first gun and after I almost shot my foot off and before I quickly sold it, he taught me to shoot and to be safe with the weapon. I’m so grateful for his friendship, his antics at work, and the friendship of Nuria and his 3 children which were his life. He will be so missed. 

George was one of a kind and loved his family with all his heart. Huge personality. He will be missed. 

Lynette and I truly enjoyed meeting you and George during our recent move to Texas. George will be greatly missed. I loved his humor, love for his country, and most of all his dedication to you Nuria! You guys were an awesome couple and we are deeply saddened to hear of George’s passing. We will keep you and your Family in our prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers to Nuria and the family. We had the pleasure of spending some time with George and Nuria last April. He was as much a hoot as she is lovely!  We instantly liked them and looked forward to having them in our lives.  Nuria, we hope to keep in touch!  God bless you always.

OMG! What a shock..  My deepest condolences to Nuria and his children. I had just chatted with George for 17 minutes on November 12, 2021. We talked about our families and my recent bout with COVID. We talked and length about the FED open season.  Since the start of the Pandemic George had been calling me once or twice a month to talk. As we all know George was very direct, his integrity and honesty were without question.  I started thinking back 46 years 8 months to March 31, 1975 the day I met George.  I was to be assigned to the El Cajon BP office and George said he was assigned as a resident Agent in Jacumba, California. My first road trip with George  ( also with Andy Jones, Ed Widner and Silver Fox Rodriguez) was to the Academy in Los Fresnos, Texas. We stopped in El Paso I met Georges mom and dad. We stayed two days in Eagle Pass and even went across the river to Piedras Negras for beers. After the academy George was assigned to the Alpine BP office. We would work together on midnight linewatch in the Tecate and Barrett Junction area. I really enjoyed our going out on our days off to various shooting ranges. After George transferred to Miami we stayed loosely in touch over the years. I will miss George he was a lifelong friend.  Again my deepest condolences the Family.
