George's obituary
George served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. During his working career, George was a water plant operator for the City of North Miami Beach Water Department for 22 years. After he retired, he dedicated his time as the handyman for the North Miami Early Childhood Preschool for many years.
George was a simple and kind man who lived a quiet and happy life. He enjoyed baseball, NASCAR, lotto scratch-offs, and finance. But there is nothing he loved more than his family—especially his children and grandchildren. They will miss hearing his stories and sharing Sunday-night spaghetti and meatballs with him, but they will never stop learning from his wisdom and cherishing his love.
George is survived by his daughter, Cathy A. Montano (Steven) of Palm Coast, FL; his son, John F. Montano (Lisa) of Coral Springs, FL; his grandson, Mark Daniel Montano (Sherri) of Palm Coast, FL; his granddaughters, Georgia Montano DeJean (Cary) of Sunrise, FL and Elizabeth Martha Montano of Coral Springs, FL; his great-grandchildren, Kaylynn, Jacobi, and Penelope Montano of Palm Coast, FL; and his brother, John Montano (Rita) of Carmichaels, PA, along with several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you save your money and invest it smartly. It is what our Pop would want.
