George's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of George Levitt Jr., George left us on March 13, 2024, leaving a void in the lives of those who knew him.

George was a warm and kind-hearted soul.  He found peace and satisfaction in moments by the water watching the boats pass by, He loved long walks with his beloved dogs, indulging in woodworking crafts, and enjoying  the melodies of his favorite tunes.

George is survived by his loving wife Tammy Levitt, his sons Arden and Vincent Levitt, his sisters Betty Pennington, Nancy Brown, Linda Gail Snider, and Elizabeth Ann Albright, and his brothers William, Edward, Jackie, and Jerry Levitt. His legacy continues through his grandson Vincent Levitt Jr. &  Sean Levitt.

Before him, George was predeceased by his father, George Riley Levitt, his mother, Grace Esther Ayers Levitt, his sister Ruby Smith and his brothers Howard, Donald, and Edward Levitt. Their memories remain etched in the hearts and minds of those who loved them.

George was from West Virginia but spend most of his life in Bensenville, Illinois, moving to Canada in late 2017 with his wife, Tammy.

George's life was a testament of love and kindness, He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
