George's obituary

Bradenton – George Edward Leedham, 73 born in Oakland California, October 02, 1947 died at his home on September 01, 2021. He was in declining health and in hospice care. He grew up in Manhattan, Kansas and attended high school and earned a BA in social studies at Kansas State. He earned an MA in sociology from Ball State University and PhD work at Western Michigan.

 His passion was music .  He chose cello as his first instrument at age 8.  He  studied under Walter Heerman.   George was a 4th generation violinist. He was a member of many Community Symphonies and performed with many bands in concert. He was an expert on cello, mandolin, guitar, fiddle and played many types of venues throughout the country and Europe. He shared his instrumental accomplishments on his CD creation “From Bach to Beethoven”.
He is greatly missed by the musician community and his many friends. He is survived by his wife Maria Rojas and brother Andy Leedham

 A Memorial Celebration followed by reception and jam will be held at Palma Sola Botanical Park on October 31, starting at 4pm.
