George W. Leck

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa, Fisherman, & Mechanic

George W. Leck, 80, of Hatfield, died January 19th, 2023. He was the husband of Diane (Monfils) Leck, his wife of 51 years.

Born August 22nd, 1942, in Newtown, he was the son of the late George Leck and Janet (Prentice) Torres.

He served in the U.S. Army from the years 1964-1970. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned home and met his wife, Diane Leck.

George was an avid fisherman and mechanic. He loved his classic cars and his home in Hatfield where he raised his family and enjoyed many memories with his family and friends. He loved his God and his faith in the Bible and was a faithful Jehovah’s Witness of the Souderton Congregation.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his siblings, Janet McGee, Helen Krieg, Walter Leck, Ruth Gilmore, Julia (Torres) Ramirez, and John Torres; and by his children, Kevin VandenPlas, Denise Watkins, David Leck, and Steven Leck: 7 grandchildren, Nicholette, Marissa, and Kevin Jr. VandenPlas; Pierce and Lance Watkins, and Leo and Leona Leck.
