George Lawrence Shea, Sr. Deerfield Beach, FL - George Lawrence Shea, Sr., 81, died peacefully on January 18, 2020.

Born to Dorthy Hunt and Thomas Shea on January 9, 1939. He is survived by loving wife Patricia (New) of 61 years, son Michael P. Shea of Deerfield Beach, FL, and daughters, DawnMarie (Stephen) of Elmsford, NY, Tricia (Scott) of Cape Coral, FL and Nicole (John) Newburgh, NY. Loving Pop Pops to Desireé, Danielle, Stephen, Michael D., Kelsey, Mackenzie, Soél, great grandson James, sister Clara and brothers, Thomas and John, many nieces, nephews and extended family. Predeceased by his son George Jr, and Grandson Michael C.

George was raised in Brooklyn, NY, a long time resident of Hartsdale , NY, and has been retired in Deerfield Beach, FL for the past 19 years. He retired from the Greenburgh Central School District after 27 years of service.

His greatest passions were spending time with his family and beloved dogs Sparky and Daisy. He had a humorous and witty personality which endeared him to anyone fortunate enough to have met him and established lifelong friendships everywhere he went. He also enjoyed playing pool and loved listening to music. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Visitations will be held at Premier Funeral Services on Friday, 10 am- 12 pm, 730 North Dixie Highway, Lake Worth, FL 33460. Followed by Church service at 1 pm at Saint Ambrose, 380 Federal Hwy, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.
