George Steve Kocsis, of Warrenton, MO, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Sandra Kocsis; cherished son of the late John and Nina Kocsis; dear brother of Becky Pietras (Richard), Peggy Rodriguez (Manuel); devoted father of the late Keith Kocsis (Kim), Kirk Kocsis (Karen), Kevin Kocsis, Teri Herndon and Chris Kocsis (Jill); loving grandfather of Steven, Katherine, Andrea Joy, Lexi (Bryan), Zach (Racheal), Ashley, late Shelby, Kayla (Travis), Hannah, Gabrielle, Ben (Abby), Cody, Anna; treasured great-grandfather of twelve.

George’s heart belonged to his wife Sandra and his entire family. George was known for his selfless attitude, giving heart, and exceptional work ethic. He was an avid sports fan and an amazing athlete himself who left an impression of confidence, strength, and determination on everyone he met. He was heavily recruited by several Major League Baseball teams however he chose family over it all. George is remembered as a man who fiercely protected his family and friends. George was an accomplished salesman in the transportation industry for 37 years. 

George gifted his body to science to Washington University, St Louis, MO. 

A memorial will be held in Memphis, TN at a later date.
