George's obituary
With great sadness, we announce the passing of George Bradford, Sr, a much-beloved figure in our community, who left us on January 7, 2025. Born on February 21, 1939, George lived a fulfilling life filled with laughter, intelligence, and above all, kindness.
George touched the hearts of all who knew him with his smart and funny personality. He led by example, teaching everyone around him the power of kindness. He was a beacon of light who embodied generosity, leaving a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
George was accomplished in his own right. He was a proud graduate of Birmingham-Southern College in 1961, and a respected member of the Alabama State Bar since 1965. His devotion to his faith was seen through his attendance at the First McKinney Baptist Church and his active participation in the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
George leaves behind his loving spouse, Joy Bradford, son George Bradford Jr. (Amy Chen), and daughter Stephanie B Hunt (Zimri). His memory will continue to live on through his granddaughters, Maya Bradford, Ella Bradford and Catherine Hunt, and his grandson, Zimri Hunt. He was predeceased by his brother, James Bradford, his father, Haywood Bradford and his mother Ruby Bradford.
A Celebration of Life ceremony for George will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 2pm at First McKinney Baptist Church, 1615 W Louisiana St, McKinney, Texas 75069. This celebration will serve as a testament to his life, one that was filled with happiness, achievements, and a lot of love.
