Jerry's obituary

George “Jerry” Clark of Social Circle, Georgia passed away on February 3, 2022 at the age of 77, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the second of five children born to George and Marie Clark of Stone Mountain. He married Glenda Sammons Clark in 1964. He served as a Navy Seabee with Operation Deep Freeze with two deployments to Antarctica. Jerry worked in heavy equipment sales and service for many years until his hobbies took the place of full time work. He enjoyed cooking, visiting and helping others, listening to classical music, watching western movies and history documentaries, and working in his yard. But his greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He is survived by Glenda, his wife of 58 years, his children Jeannie Aiken (Stan Aiken), Brenda McHenry, Patrick Clark (Melinda Clark), his daughter in law, Valorie Moon Clark, and son in law, Kje Sundberg, many grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He is preceded in death by his son, John Clark, and daughters, Alicia Sundberg, and Paula Minor.
His family invites you to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 19th at the Walnut Grove Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 915 Church Street, Loganville, 30052. The celebration will begin at 12:00pm with a buffet lunch followed by a time of visitation until 3:00pm.
