George's obituary
George was born to Narcissus Carameros and the late George Carameros Jr. in El Paso, Texas on May 27, 1954. He is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Nancy Lee Carameros. George leaves a heritage of children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He attended Memorial High School in Houston, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business. After graduation, George worked for Texas Commerce Bank, Dean Witter, Merrill Lynch, Appelt Womak Ricks & Herder, and his entrepreneurial spirit eventually led him into the restaurant business.
George was blessed with a large and loving family. He married his best friend, Nancy, on March 22, 1986, in Houston, Texas. George proudly raised his three children with patience, discipline, and humility. He taught them to love others from the very beginning and dedicated his children to God. George was a long-time member of Bethel Church in Houston, Texas, and was actively involved in bible study and serving the homeless through Church in the Park on Saturday mornings.
He is survived by: his mother Narcissus Carameros; his beloved wife Nancy Carameros; his daughter Brittany LaFargue and husband, Russell; his daughter Courtney Frank and husband, Mitchell; his son: George Carameros IV, and wife Kendall; his grandsons: Grant LaFargue, Clay LaFargue, Asher LaFargue, Ellis Frank, and Valor Frank; his sisters: Cecille Shannon and husband, George; Cynthia Blevins; Cathy Patton and husband, David Sr.; his brother: Carl Carameros and his wife, Lynne; Mark Christiansen and girlfriend, Pam Hays; his 14 nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: his father, George D. Carameros Jr.; his father and mother-in-law Betty and Rick Christiansen; his brother-in-law John Blevins.
A memorial service celebrating George’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 29th at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Church, 825 Bering Drive. After the service, all are invited to a reception in the Fellowship Hall to greet the family.
