George's obituary
On January 26th 2026, George Key unexpectedly passed away into God’s graces. With an infectious smile and commitment to service, he was a friend to everyone he encountered. George was 55 years old. He is survived by many loving individuals, including his wife, Allison Key, his parents, Henry and Shirley Key and his sister Lorri M. Key, cousins, nieces and nephews.
As a young child, George gave his life to Christ and served at Sunny Side Missionary Baptist Church and served in the youth ministry and choir.
George was dedicated to architecture as his chosen profession and a life long member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated with induction in Fall '93/ Spring 94 at Prairie View A & M University. George was also committed to his engineering fraternity Epsilon Gamma Iota and was inducted in 1991 again at Prairie View A and M University.
His community service endeavors were numerous including awards for service as part of his work with Turner Construction as Community Affairs Director of the Year and award for Top 50 Black Professionals and Entrepreneurs.
As his family continues to prepare arrangements to celebrate his life, we are overwhelmed by those near and far who want to donate and support in anyway. Any donation, call, text is appreciated and we will use this site for any monies donated to support expenses. In addition, please feel free to contribute any pictures to the Ever Loved website as his network/friends are vast and many have memories we are not aware of.
Sincerely, the Key Family.
