Geoff's obituary

Geoffrey Wallace Miller, 69, of Plano Texas, passed away on August 3, 2024 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Geoff was born on September 5, 1954 to Robert Theodore Miller and Emmeline Wallace in the city of Pittsfield Massachusetts. After graduating from Bethesda Chevy Chase (BCC) High School in Maryland, he went on to receive a BS in accounting at the University of Maryland in College Park and a Masters in taxation from the University of Baltimore.

After graduation, he landed a position at Price Waterhouse in California working there from 1980-1994, becoming a partner. Geoff went on to work in Texas for Lacerte Software Corporation, Intuit, Inc., IsisPort, and Tatum. He met Karen Baum at a golf tournament in 1993 while in California and they wed in 1998, going on to have a son, Geoffrey.

Geoff was a passionate fan of the University of Maryland (Terps) sports teams and Redskins/Commanders football. He was also a connoisseur of fine wine, particularly from Caymus vineyards. So much so, he even named his golden retriever Caymus.

Throughout his life, Geoff embodied kindness and compassion. His selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family alike. His legacy of love will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.

Anyone who knew Geoff knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. Geoff was predeceased by his father, Robert Theodore Miller his mother, Emmeline Miller and brother, Wallace Paul Miller. He is survived by his former wife Karen Baum, son Geoffrey and brother Guy.

There will be a celebration of life on Oct. 23, 2024, 2:00pm at Gleneagles Country Club, 5401 West Park Blvd, Plano, TX 75093.

May Geoff rest in eternal peace, free from pain. Although Geoff lost his battle with cancer, he won the battle of having a very full life of love, success and a multitude of cherished friendships.
