Genevieve's obituary

Genevieve “Genny” T. Rosenstock passed away on October 18, 2018. Genny was preceded in death by her parents Goldie and Ernest Tomblin and her brothers Ernie and Freddie Tomblin. Genny is survived by daughter Jerri Wilson and her husband, Larry; 2 grandsons, Dalton Conner Cash and Steven Chase Eure; her sister Pamela Wilson and her husband, Tim; her brother Gary Tomblin and his wife, Tina; her sister-in-law Sherry Tomblin; her niece Leslie Bostic and her husband, Donnie and their children Dylan, Gabrielle, and Hannah; and her nephews Brent and Brandon Tomblin. Genny also left behind her beloved dog, Toby.

Born and Raised in West Virginia, Genny graduated in 1965 from Scott High School in Madison. She pursued a variety of educational and professional development opportunities throughout her life. Genny worked for many years for the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services before her retirement in 2000. She was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In her final days, Genny was cared for by the Hospice of Virginia at Retreat Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond. Her daughter, Jerri, was with her when she passed. Genny made arrangements in advance for her passing through the Cremation Society of Virginia and no funeral service is planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that friends consider donating to either the Hospice of Virginia or to the National Stroke Association.
