Genevieve Inez Luckett, age 78, of Waldorf, MD, passed away suddenly on November 15, 2021. Genevieve was born on June 13, 1943 to Sadie Leekins (father unknown) in Baltimore, MD. After graduating from Richard Montgomery High School in 1961, she landed in what would be a lifelong career as a product accountability analyst for the Dept. of Treasury for 27 years. In 1961, she met Jimmy Luckett, and they wed in 1962, going on to have four children, Jamil, Shirelle, Tara and Lamar. When Genevieve had her children, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Genevieve lived for her children and grandchildren, supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was advising her loved ones through life's moments of uncertainty or making her family and friends laugh with humor and wit, she was a shining light to all who knew her. After retirement "Queen G" enjoyed life fellowshipping with her dear friends at Victoria Park, playing games and taking memorable trips. When she wasn’t adorning her home with seasonal decorations, she could be found simply relaxing, watching her westerns. We will miss her greatly. Genevieve was predeceased by her mother Sadie Leekins, her brother Leroy Carter, her Aunt Jenevieve Washington, her uncle Tom Leekins, and cousins Charles Lee, Lewis, and Earl Washington Sr. She is survived by her brother Donald Reid (Joanne), her son Jamil Luckett, daughter Shirelle Estes, daughter Tara Culbertson (Derrick), son Shaquil Rashad, grandsons Trey Williams, Tyson Estes, Jelani Rashad, Jalen Estes, her nephew Anthony Reid and her niece Donna Bennett.
