When I was seven or eight years old, I remember when my family and I went to my cousin, Genevieve (Foufoune’s) house. It was my very first time that I can recall as a child meeting her and the entire family. She welcomed me into her home with loving arms, was so hospitable, and said, “you and my girls are about the same age, why don’t you all play.” And that’s what we did.  All of us girls hung out in her daughters’  room, while our parents had their grown-up time. I can remember that we got acquainted really fast, and had so much fun to the point that I fell asleep in their room because it was so late in the night until we left. 

Foufoune has always been so kind and loving towards me, since the day I met her as a child. She has gained her angel’s wings and will truly be missed.
