Eve's obituary

The sun rose bright on the morning of May 16th, 2024, but the world found itself a little less dazzling. Geneva Marie Doyle (nee Kammerud) passed peacefully in her sleep and was reunited with her beloved husband Bob after 1,263 days apart.
Born April 14th, 1937 in Shullsburg, Wisconsin to Howard Marcellus and Marie Agnes (Kail) Kammerud, Eve lived almost her entire life in the same small town. She was the oldest daughter of a blended family but always worked hard to show her siblings how much she loved them. William (Edith) Kammerud, John Joseph (Glenellyn "Gege") Kammerud, Janet (Len) Hamilton, Joyce (Bill) Vasey and John Kuhn.
Eve began her school career at St Matthews School, where she met the love of her life on their very first day of kindergarten. As the story goes, Eve came up over a hill and first laid eyes on Robert Doyle, and he always said, he knew he wanted her right then, he just didn't know what for!
Eve did well in school and was a very talented artist, as well as a member of the glee club, photo editor of the yearbook and Prom Court Royalty at Shullsburg High School.
Bob and Eve were united in marriage on April 13, 1955 and that marriage produced 6 children: Kristine (Kim) Lyle, Kenneth Doyle, Kelly Doyle, Kevin Doyle, Thomas (Kris) Doyle and Baby Michael, who died at birth.
Eve and Bob worked hard to raise their family in the big farm house on Johnson Road. Through the years, Eve often worked outside of the home. She enjoyed her job at Roelli Cheese Haus, and was often tasked with bringing beautiful cheese trays to events. Bob and Eve found great joy helping sort donations at the Saint Vincent de Paul in Shullsburg and were always excited to share the treasures they'd find there. The Doyles celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2020 and packed a lot of love, fun and travel in to those years.
In her spare time, Eve was an avid reader and loved to care for her many pampered dogs and farm cats. In later years, she came back to art and spent a great deal of time coloring to relax. She absolutely hated the heat, despised sweating and exercise of any kind and was very content to sit and chat or just people watch.
Eve was blessed to be a Gramma of seven: Amanda Schmieder-Smith, Raven (Jeffrey) DeLange, Trenton (Kelly Mac) Lyle, Jamie Sayago, Matthew Doyle, Benjamin Doyle and Shalia Franch. Great grandchildren include Makayla and Madilyn Smith, Nick, Cameron, Parker, and Ava Doyle, Jade and Breanna Doyle, Maria and Logan Franch and David, Alex, Emberlyn, and Giovanni Sayago.
Eve was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, her siblings Bill and John, her children, Kelly, Kevin & Michael and a special son-in-law, Kim Lyle.
The family would like to thank the amazing staff of the former Epione Pavilion in Cuba City and the Evansville Manor for the care provided to Eve in her twilight years.
No formal services were planned by the executor of her estate, but a Celebration of Life is being arranged by the rest of her family to honor the life and love of both Bob and Eve, Saturday, September 21st,  2024 in Cuba City, Wisconsin.
