Geneta “GiGi” Marie Chrishop Daly, 79, of Summerfield FL, passed away on May 24th, 2023.

Born on January 29, 1944 to Alfred and Joan Chrishop in Chicago IL. Geneta was a graduate of Dundee High School (class of 1962) in Carpentersville, IL.

GiGi dedicated 20 years in her career as a social worker for Elgin Township, IL. She volunteered actively in her community and with her kid's activities like little league mom. She always held a special place in her heart for animal rescues. A creative woman in her nature, she loved many hobbies including arts & crafts, books, puzzles, dance, jewelry, and sewing (to name a few!)

She and her husband Richard lived in many places including Lake in the Hills (IL), Fitchburg (WI), Poway (CA), and Branford (CT). They finally retired to Summerfield (FL) near the Villages. You could usually find her reading, hanging out with her pup or catching up on her favorite celebrity news.

GiGi was preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, and sister Barbara Kaczor. She is survived by her sister Linda Lillie of Louisville, KY., her children Traci (Donnie) Wright of Elgin, IL., Tim (Dana) Thurnau of Estero, FL., and Tiffyn (Tim) Riese of Monroe, WI., and seven grandchildren, Tyler, Staci (Jake), Kennedy, Sydney, Grant, Cassie and Nathan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for any donations to be made to The Humane Society of Marion County in her name.
