Gene "Rob" R. Carey, 83, of St. Louis, MO, passed away on November 4, 2023. He was born on March 3, 1940, in St. Louis, MO. Gene, known by his preferred name Rob, served in the Navy and was a proud member of UA Local 562 Plumbers & Pipefitters.

Gene was a devoted family man survived by his daughter Sandra M Molina, son-in-law Gregory Molina Sr, grandson Gregory Molina Jr. And Great-grandchildren Micheall Thomas, Saundra Molina, Savannah Molina, Isabelle Molina, Serenity Molina, and Gregory Molina III.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lilly M Carey and daughter Berniece Brand.

Gene was a dedicated member of Assumption Parish and found solace in his faith. He enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball in his free time, cheering on his favorite team.

A private family ceremony to honor Gene's life will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (Memorial Chapel) on November 9th 2023. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by John L. Ziegenhein and Sons, located at 4830 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, MO 63129
