Gena's obituary

Gena Basnett, born 06/26/1957, was called home to be with God on 11/28/2023 in League City, TX.

She was born in Dallas Texas to Mr. and Mrs. George Kelly and raised in the small town of Lancaster, TX. She became and teacher for the Lancaster ISD and a mother of 4. She was always optimistic and full of life.

She is predeceased by her parents.

She is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband of over 40 years Chris Basnett. Sons, Enoch (Ashley), Elijah (Kathy), Daughters Sarah (Robert) and Lilah (Michael) and 11 beautiful grandchildren. Her sisters Kelly Brown and Georgia Fitzhugh, 1 niece 3 nephews and several extended family and friends.
