Gayle's obituary
Gayle "Dianne" Skinner,
A beloved friend, sister, and mother passed away on the morning of June 8th in Johnston, Rhode Island. She may have been far from home but she was not alone. She was surrounded by the love that was being sent by friends and loved ones from afar and had her daughter, Alexis there to hold her hand.
Dianne was born on January 13th 1960, in St. Petersburg, Florida to mother, Sandra Dunkirk Pinter who gained her angel wings in August of 2017. Dianne's legacy of strength and kindness is carried on by her sister, Debra Wilkes; a cherished loved one, Christopher Skinner; her two daughters, Jessica McMullen and Alexis DuBois; and her granddaughter Kylee McMullen. She cherished her family above all else. She has left a void that can never be filled but also left a lifetime of joy and memories to get us through.
Prior to retirement, one of Dianne's greatest joys was her job as a secretary at Lime Street Elementary (currently known as Philip O'Brien Elementary), home of the astute Lions. The friendships that she made there stayed within her heart until her very last day.
Dianne also enjoyed the Ocean. Some of her favorite days were spent on the beach, fishing, or enjoying the wind in her hair during a boating excursion.
Her beautiful soul will be deeply missed and will continue to be cherished within the hearts of all who knew her.
The family would like to invite you to Celebrate the life of Dianne on Saturday July 19th from 1pm - 3 pm at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge at 125 W. Brannen rd. Lakeland, FL. This event should not be viewed as a funeral but as a celebration of the impact that Dianne had in the lives of those of us left behind. The family would like for you to dress in whatever makes you feel comfortable but would also like to remind you that Dianne was a stylish woman and will be watching! Cheerful colors are encouraged.
