Gayle Sexton Caraker, beloved wife and mother, entered eternal rest, October 15, 2023. She passed, at the age of 78, after a long battle with illness. She was a resident of Lakeland, Florida.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Charles Caraker, daughter Jeanette Venable (Darrell), son Charles Caraker II, grandchildren Seth Venable (Cayla), Ethan Venable (Sarah), Hannah Fears (Micah), great-granddaughter Brinley Venable and sister Sonjia May (Bob).

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mamie Sexton, brother Tommy Sexton and sister, Ann Roark.

Gayle graduated from Mulberry High School in 1964. She worked for Grace Corporation, for several years, before becoming a full time wife and mother. Later, she worked with her husband in the family business. Gayle was an active member of the Highlands Church of Christ.

A memorial service will be held, October 29, 2023, 4 pm, at the Highlands Church of Christ, 5730 Lakeland Highlands Road, in Lakeland.
