For over 25 years, you were not just a friend but a constant light in my life. You were a man of many talents, but what truly defined you was your heart of gold—a heart that shone through in every act of kindness and every moment we shared.
There were times when life knocked me down, and I felt like I couldn’t go on. I’ll never forget one of those moments. I was in the middle of a personal battle with my health, feeling lost and overwhelmed. You saw me struggling, and instead of words, you wrapped me in a hug, smiled, and simply said, “It will be ok. I’m here for you if you ever need me.”
That was who you were—always steady, always present, always a source of strength for those lucky enough to know you.
My heart is shattered now that you’re no longer here. The world feels a little less bright without your laugh, your wisdom, and the way you made everyone feel like they mattered. But even in my sorrow, I’m grateful for the years we shared, for the memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
Rest in peace, my dear friend. You were one of a kind, and you will always be missed.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news of Gavin's passing. He was joy, he was laughter, and just a good human being period. Gavin made everyone feel welcomed and seen. He will be missed terribly.
