He is survived by his parents, and his younger siblings.

Gavin was someone who found family wherever he went. He stood up for others—fiercely, consistently, and without hesitation. For many, he was the one who showed up, the one who had their back when it mattered most.

Gavin was a deeply intelligent and passionate person, he was an amazing story teller— a bard from beginning to end. He loved bad jokes and sarcasm.

Those fortunate enough to know him will always hear his laugh, remember his smile, and miss his hugs.
